Is what you're missing a marketer? I am.

I'm a dev. A lot of us here seem to be.

We all know by now that you should "market first" and "build an audience" and "find users" - but building is what we're good at!

I've now tried rebooting my Twitter account like 3 times. I've built marketing websites. I've bought ads. I've done direct outreach. Social media campaigns. Some of these do work, but it's so difficult for me it's like learning to code all over again - every single time I open a marketing channel!

I have actually built one or two successful companies and it was only because the great match me and my partner(s) had. I know for sure nobody has to do everything. There are always people who enjoy doing what you don't. There is rarely point in training your weakest skill - train your talents instead. Sometimes the best use of your time on earth is to team up with someone who fills your gaps.

But where are the marketers and growth hackers that are building small products? I'm sure many of us have considered what I'm considering now - build a marketer+developer platform where we can pitch each-other and team up. We all know it's going to fail. LFG platforms have been tried and tested.

So what do we do? Are we doomed to "dev it out" without success forever?

Where do the growth hackers hang out? And I did of course search previous posts. Most recommendations are incredibly expensive membership communities. Like $100 a month? That's not Indie.
