I've had an idea that I think is good, now what?

I've had an idea, written it down, refined it, and asked for feedback. I made a landing page, acquired subscribers, etc. This seems like a good road a follow - most people do I think.

What's the road you follow when you have a new idea? What's your playbook? How did you go from idea to something valuable - what's worked for you?

Any advice, comments, or stories welcome - I want to hear what this community thinks.

I mean, you're literally on a website (IH) that is structured like the steps you can/should/need to take to bring a project to life.

    Hey @hessel.
When I have a new idea for an app, I follow almost the same road as you do, but between ideation and creation, I take my time and don't push it, to test it if I will return to it and don't forget it at all. If the idea still holds me, I start working on it. I create a small plan with tasks to see what's lying on the road before me and how long does it take to create.

Then I follow the plan and work on one task every day to get the whole application done. The exciting thing about creating an outline is that I can see how many tasks I have and how long it will take. In many cases, when I write it down, I will realize that the whole app can be prepared in 3 months.

The plan usually consists of these main topics, which are further broken to smaller parts:

    1. Preparing the landing page
    2. Early Access - idea validation and landing page testing, feedback gathering, searching for early birds users
    3. Beta Access - product functions validation and testing, feedback gathering, searching for more users
    4. Production - implementing more product features, testing, feedback gathering, customer success support, searching for new users, and ways to promote a product.

    Feedback is king.

This approach is much more fun since I also have other responsibilities in a full-time job, and the work on my project is something like rest for me and my head.
