I've reworked landing page and copy of Notify Me, because I realized that landing page was too complex for such a simple service. I think it has much more clarity now.
I'd really love to hear your feedback
Landing page: https://notify-me.rs/
In the first two seconds of looking at the page, I understood what the product was so I would say that is an effective page.
Nice.
It's simple and clear.
Thanks!
The copytext is very good, tells me exactly what the site does. I really like the animated UI section in track sites. I think you could make better use of whitespace (basically add more padding) as in some places the page can feel cramped, especially on mobile.
Do you have any specific sections in mind that have these problems?
"What they said about us" and "Made for" section. You can take a look at https://www.indiehackers.com/post/landing-page-feedback-reseat-a8dc48c7cf for some design inspiration and if you don't mind I would love to get your feedback on my copytext
Hey, great work with the landing page. First time seeing it so I don't know what it looked like before but as it is now, it got the point across.
I happen to have a friend who is having success (5-10K MRR) making a monitor for sneaker botting and concert tickets. Your product offering very much reminded me of that but I was only able to relate because I knew of his particular use case before. Otherwise, for a regular person like me I would have never thought of using a monitor. I share this because I think as it stands now, the marketing is a big too generalized as a do-it-all painkiller for everyone when i suspect it may be hard for them to truly see the usecase.
Would advise either finding a niche and selling hard to them or trying to build out specific template usecases on the site for each demographic "Journalist"/ "Entrepreneur"/ etc and show in great detail how each one could get starter. e.g. maybe a monitor against a grade results website to check for when grades post for a student?
I would like to plus one what @charlesyu said. it didn’t seem obvious to me, but more use case examples/targeting would really be helpful
EDIT: Actually to the point about selling to demographics, I notice you do have such a section on your site but it appears a bit hidden among the text. Is there anyway you could make it a bit more interactive? I'm imagining a "Get Started with <Grade Monitor/Article Changes/ etc> in 30 seconds or less" type section and there's a button to "deploy" your own.
Thanks for the helpful comments, We thought of doing something similar to what you've mentioned regarding the "30s or less setup" but it's a lot more work than just reworking the landing page content wise. But we will definitely try this out in the future!
Hey Aleksa @imafikus
I think the copy works and I have some ideas for improvements.
Your product is named Notify Me as it relates to notifications.
Your primary headline however, talks about monitoring. Your call to action talks about monitoring. That sounds like an activity that the reader has to actively undertake rather than a service that passively sends them notifications.
I would try a headline and a CTA that speak to the automated notifications.
Something like:
"Get notified when a site you're interested in changes".
Then your subhead could elaborate (like you currently do):
"Track job postings, product prices, news articles, and more. Whatever site you like, we'll notify when they make changes".
This bit of social proof might be working against you:
"Trusted by 1,695 users who are tracking 1,256 different sites."
If there are 1,695 users, why aren't all of them monitoring multiple sites? Sure, there may be duplicate sites but I would expect 1,695 users to be monitoring at least double the user count.
Maybe change that up to focus on the user count only.
Something like:
"1,695 people are getting notifications when their favorite sites change".
Under the Easy to Use section, I think you can show the ease a bit more impressively.
Something like:
Step 1 - Sign up and add your favorite site's URL
Step 2 - We monitor it for changes (see plans for how often)
Step 3 - We notify you of the changes
Under the Track Sites Quickly and Easily section, I think you can leave off this line:
"No CSS and XPath selectors to configure."
This sounds like a nod to automated testing/monitoring tools like Selenium/Playwright/Cypress. If your audience is not specifically those types of people, that just doesn't connect with them.
Under the All in One Place section, this is confusing:
"Replace all the different update feeds with Notify Me"
What other feeds am I replacing? If I don't already know, this isn't a benefit to me. Are you sure your entire audience has multiple feeds to replace?
This line is a missed opportunity:
"What They Said About Us..."
Who are "they" and why do they matter to me? Are "they" a secret government organization? Are they industry insiders? If they are happy customers, tell me that. That is more likely to help me make my decision.
Change it to something like "What some happy customers have to say..."
The Made For... section:
This is a personal opinion but I'd change the heading to "How people are using Notify Me" or something like that. If you didn't site down and make this service specifically for this list of people, then reframe it so that the user can imagine how they'd use it.
After showing how people use Notify Me, you can then ask the reader what they'd like to be notified about, followed by a CTA.
Just my thoughts.
Good Luck!
Woah, this is such a great comment.
I definitely didn't noticed a bunch of things you mentioned here, and they all make sense. I'll definitely follow up on this advice!
Thank you!
The "Get Started Now" call to action happens pretty low on the page. I'd recommend adding another instance of it higher up on the page too.
Will check it out!
Nice & Clear Hero Section!
Thank you!
I really would love to see the product more in action closer to the top of the page to quickly see it. I'd also love to see people's use cases in action (e.g, job pages, and more).
At first I thought that I could use this service to be notified of RSS updates. The domain would be perfect.
We thought about adding an RSS feed tracker, but it seemed that no one was really using those
hey Aleksa, it’s decent but needs a lot of work to start converting, there is room for improvement on ux writing, spacing, consistency, story telling
Can you be more specific?
Sure, let me highlight some things you can easily improve:
Hey, thanks for your comments. Will try to work on these. Regarding comment 6. I'm completely aware that people are faking it, but all the numbers and testimonials we have there are genuine, and I'm updating numbers every couple of days. I haven't put links to the people because they didn't want that
I love the copy and the font! I think your copy needs to breathe more, so adding more padding between paragraphs and sections (as others suggested) will be an improvement. I also think the content is too narrow. It makes sense if you want mobile support to be easier, but your site's content takes up 1/3rd of my screen, which feels like a lot of wasted (and boring) space on both sides. Right now, to me it looks as if I have opened a mobile version of the site on my desktop.
Also, I'm not sure if it was a conscious decision, but why are there no images on your landing page? Wouldn't it be better with some more visually appealing elements?
I hope this helps and is not too rough 😅
Thanks for the comments! I'll definitely work on padding, since that's what majority of the people are saying. I can also try to make everything a bit wider. Regarding no images comment, it wasn't conscious, but the idea was that people could see how the site works as soon as they scroll down, since earlier iteration of the page had a bunch of images on the hero section, and that kinda took away almost half the space.
Hey, awesome site! I really like the clarity and readability. Straight to the point and doesn't seem to wonder.
One usability comment that I do have - in the intuitive notifications section - the switching between the display cards might be kinda fast. I feel like it doesn't give the viewer enough time to understand it before switching. You can eventually get there, but the experience could be better if A) the transition slowed down a bit and B) the user had some sort of control for switching back and forth?
I could slow it down, thanks for the comment!
Looks nice. No real complaints. Does the service have the ability to notify me of changes via RSS?
Not at the moment, since the whole point of the service is that you don't need to have bunch of different rss feeds.
What would be your use case for having RSS feeds?
I suppose I would want the RSS feed to subscribe to a certain keyword and notify me when someone on social media, an article is written, a blog talks about it. The feed would go straight back to https://notify-me.rs/ just another way to get notified I suppose.
Makes sense
