JetBrains Plugin Help
Hey guys. First post! Woot woot! I'm a dev (mostly Java and .NET web stuff) working on my first indie product! The product is a developer tool plugin for the JetBrains platform. The JetBrains UI ecosystem seems to be mostly Java, but more specifically Swing. To add to that, the JetBrains API seems to be a very customized implementation of alot of Swing's components. My Swing experience is pretty slim and I've been struggling to find some good and useful communities, blogs, etc. supporting JetBrains Plugin devs. Was just curious if any of you guys knew of any good resources to that end? I'm in the early stages of development with this product so I'm looking forward to sharing more progress with the Indie Hacker community going forward. Later.
Hey, I'm curious on how your journey is going with the JetBrains plugin platform. I've been looking into developing something in this space as well since I use their IDE's all the time. Would love to hear about any learnings you may have had :)

The post specifically details building a plugin to sell in the JetBrains plugin marketplace. I've actually since decided to use Gumroad for sales and licensing of my plugin as I wasn't happy with the available licensing models offered by JetBrains marketplace. But the process of publishing a plugin for sale in the marketplace is pretty straightforward.
Actually building the plugin was a bit of a challenge. I will say that the JetBrains plugin platform architecture is a bit complex. Reading as much of the documentation as you can is a useful exercise. Good luck!
