Just launched a $5k/mo dev subscription agency — with zero clients (yet).

Hey IH 👋
I just launched Unreal Brains yesterday — a web development subscription service for startups and founders who want a product-minded developer on call, without hiring.

It’s priced at $4,999/month — yeah, it’s not cheap — but I’m betting there are enough teams out there who:

  • Are burning time trying to hire senior devs

  • Don’t want to manage freelancers

  • Just need one person who can take an idea and ship it fast & clean

What Unreal Brains actually does:
I build real, working products — not just mockups or templates.

🛠️ Stack:
Frontend: Astro, Svelte, Tailwind, DaisyUI

Backend: Supabase, Django, FastAPI, Flask, PostgreSQL

APIs, integrations, internal tools, MVPs — you name it.

One request at a time. Turnaround in ~48 hours.

What makes this different?
Yes, AI helps me ship fast — but I don’t just copy/paste.
I write code that’s readable, maintainable, and built with a product mindset. If AI helps, great. If not, I take the long route.

You’re not getting GitHub Copilot’s mess — you’re getting a dev who knows when to reject AI and when to lean on it.

The honest stats:

🚀 Just launched — no clients yet

🧠 1 developer (me)

📍 Built in public (will post updates)

💬 Feedback welcome

Why I’m building this:
I’ve freelanced, built SaaS apps, and run a game zone biz. I’ve also been ghosting job boards lately with no luck. So instead of chasing clients one at a time, I want to try the productized route.

Unreal Brains is an experiment — can a solo dev with speed, good taste, and a killer stack earn $5K/month per client, consistently?

Let’s find out.

If you liked this and want to follow the journey, I’ll share monthly updates. Or feel free to roast the pricing, pitch ideas, or ask me stuff. I’m all ears.

Hey, congrats on the launch; this is a solid idea and I like the “product-minded dev” positioning.

I’m transitioning into product management and have a strong background in brand, strategy, and user research. I’ve worked closely with devs and founders to help define MVPs, prioritize features, and ship fast without overbuilding.

If you ever want a second brain on product thinking (scope, roadmap, user feedback loops, positioning), I’d be happy to help, even short-term or informally.
