Very excited to announce the launch of our first version of GetAssigned. With the help of all of you, friends, family and the rest of the online startup community, I've received some great feedback and I'm excited to keep building.
Wanted to sign up but saw it was $10 to get started. I think that's fair, looks like a cool product, but would have liked to try it out quickly and to provide some feedback.
Perhaps you can have a way for people to easily try it? I'm not sure how technically complex that would be to setup, but it'd definitely get some people like myself tinkering with it, and who knows, maybe we convert into paying customers down the line.
Hey Seth! Thanks for responding and great feedback! I’ve been trying to think of a way to do that without completely reworking the onboarding flow.
My only fear behind giving a no credit card option (whether it be a no CC trial, or a limited free plan) is that people may use it as a spam tool. Since assignments can be sent to anyone, you could theoretically assign people for the purpose of promotion which wouldn’t be great for assignee’s.
Requiring a credit card in my opinion is the best way to combat spammers.
You bringing it up though makes me wonder if we could allow the use of the platform and only require a CC to actually send an assignment. 🤔
