Keep building a D&D app

Starting this year our team of three (game developers during the day, indie hackers at night) decided to give a shot to a long-discussing idea - what if we could create an easy-to-start D&D companion app for everyone who heard about D&D but was afraid to start because of how complex it is. You can read the Player's Handbook or play an interactive tutorial in the app and you will be ready to play your first D&D session.

  • Still excited about that;
  • Have no idea how to push it into the audience;
  • Using it for our own D&D adventures;
  • We are discussing how we can turn it into a grossing project but don't do anything for that;
  • Having fun seeing how people use the app as an anti-stress dice-rolling leisure.

Here it is: https://d20gate.com/

    I think a DnD project could be very useful and in demand. However, for you website, I'm not exactly sure what it does. Is it just a dice roller for DnD?

    There isn't enough info for potential customers to make a decision.

    However, I do think there is great opportunity in DnD with AI. FYI, I'm developing an AI API that allows users to run AI models on the cloud.

    We're planning on getting a text generator AI on the cloud in the future, and I think with the success of DungeonAI, there is lots of opportunity for AI DMs.

    It's still WIP, but you can follow me on twitter for more info and updates for what we're building: https://twitter.com/TheRealEtch
