Landing feedback on Navigator (smart search bar on any site in minutes)

URL: https://navigator.bytebeacon.com

Pitch: Navigating through hotkeys is the preferred way for superusers of any applications (Think hotkeys on Gmail). Companies spend a lot of effort on UX to reduce friction in navigation flows. A "launcher" like widget typically solves this problem on desktop. We're just bringing the same tech on your website. Just visit https://navigator.bytebeacon.com and press 'ctrl' + 'space' to see it in action.

We have a pretty minimalist landing right now and feel it may not be conveying the correct value.

Please read the following AFTER visiting Navigator's landing page:

What we're hoping the visitor to do is:

  • On the landing, before scrolling down, they understand what we're offering and feel like playing with a demo.
  • They enter 'ctrl' + 'space' command mentioned on the landing and actually see the widget.
  • They start scrolling to explore more information
  • They get excited and sign up for early access

Assuming you've visited the site, was your experience that same as what we were hoping for above? We'd love to know your experience either way!

Some of the text is tiny, I can't read a lot of it.

    Your chat widget doesn't work.

But the product is great. I can see this catching on. I can navigate to pages I need really fast. If you integrate with docs and faqs that would be amazing.

Why is it early access? Does the product not work?

      Thank you for the feedback!

re "Some of the text is tiny, I can't read a lot of it.": This is for the landing page .. or text on the widget?

re "Your chat widget doesn't work.": We'll take a look. It is from ProductHunt for upcoming projects signups.

re "Why is it early access? Does the product not work?": The widget works .. We're building out the admin panel to go with the widget to calculate insights on how the widget is being used on your website and present it back to you (popular queries, queries that lead to successful exits .. and queries that don't (they require your attention) .. etc .. ). We're also working on automating a lot of work that currently done partially manually. A lot of what we wish to index requires some manual intervention, hence early access to identify those. Documentations / Blogs and FAQ fall under this category (plus some external pages as well). We're working on indexing them properly and regularly to see if we can build a better experience.

Would you be interested in doing a pilot for Versoly? We're happy to provide a free api_key and see if the widget works well for you. We'll seed the indexes and share a 2 line script tag import with you (1 to load the navigator lib and 2 to initialize the widget).

For longer term relationship, we feel it'll be a great integration plug with Versoly (just like the ones you have with intercom, analytics, crisp etc ...).

          Awesome!
We just indexed your websites and a few external links about your website and sent you an api_key and the code you can use to get the widget. Just place the code on your site's html and it should just work!
