I have changed the layout on colorsandfonts.com so the user can see more color palettes, gradients, etc,... Can you guys let me know what you think?
Any feedback is very welcome.
Thank you so much and have a great day everyone.
Nice job, very clean.
Some initial thoughts:
Feel like the user should be able to do something when clicking on the big colour shapes. I kept constantly clicking on them but nothing happened. Maybe it would copy the codes or go to full screen mode like https://uigradients.com? Appreciate there might be a lot of work with this.
Hey @londonwill,
Do you mean the big avatar shapes when you land on the page?
Or the actual shapes where you can get the codes?
Thank you so much for such a valuable feedback !
Sorry I wasn't clear. Yes, I meant the shapes on the pages you get the codes, for example the shapes on the gradients page: https://colorsandfonts.com/gradients.html
You are right, maybe in the gradients is a bit confusig because theres no button on the middle, but it is in the name where you get the code actually. I used to have the code icon in the button but i removed it...
Oh right, for info you have some typos on that page I just noticed (in intro text):
Find the perfect gradient for your next proyect and get the CSS code togheter with the browsers fallbacks by clicking the name, don't forget the image!
(proyect & togheter)
Damn it ! Thank you so much...english is not my mother language.
My bad
No prob, English is my mother language and my sites are sometimes scattered with typos :-)
Imagine if Grammarly could access the code editors...
I guess is something inevitable...:-)
how do most users use your website? are they designing landing pages? mobile apps? social media ads?
depending on the answer to this, it would be very helpful to be able to see a website / mobile app / social media ad example mocked up with the colors from a palette just by clicking on it so you know if it might look good or not.
which of those 4 features (colors, material color picker, gradients, font pairings) are most people visiting?
also, one piece of feedback -- people are going to the judge the quality of your website pretty quickly based on the first few items they see in each category.
sorry to be a little bit mean, but the first few font pairing i saw when i click in weren't particularly good (who uses small caps for body text??), and i judged the website to be low quality after that.
the color palettes looked ok, but it's unclear how they'd look in an actual use case without examples.
improving the quality of the first few items in each category would probably help tremendously with conversion, whatever that means for you.
Hey @drudg3,
I provide the colors, not how to use them. Is like when you go and buy a car, you get the car from them, but they won't teach how to drive.
But I did actually shared some mock-ups on Dribbble pointing to a color palette from the website.
Hotjar is providing me how they are using it and mostly is the Palettes and gradients.
Quality, well, those are Google Fonts, which is what the page is providing. And yeah, you can use small caps, because Carrois Gothic SC, as the name says is a small-caps font for example.
It looks like, you are giving your opinion without knowing what you are talking about... small caps are used daily.
Should you get informed before giving feedback?
Conversion? I am having great conversion.
Mean? I do not think that you are mean, absolutely not, but maybe you are frustrated with something, and you are taking it on us.
I say us because I have been looking at your comments and profile and all I can read are negative comments, I mean, I do not think is fine that you go around and be negative to people, and all of this just today.
Is there anything positive on you?
Thank you and have a great day.
/Mike
One thought I had is on the page page. when I hover over the four different options their background has a shadow. This makes me think that I can click it and get into that section but you actually have to click the image. I think that is a little confusing.
Yes, you are right Noah. I am working on that. Someone reported it before ...thank you!
now its ready. thank you a lot.
