Hey everyone,
I'm Daniel, a solo founder of Hackpack.io where we help folks get jobs in Big Tech. I'm an engineer by trade, and I'm not really that great at marketing (4 years of engineering at FB doesn't prepare you for writing copy apparently).
I would really appreciate some feedback on our homepage, specifically:
Homepage: https://hackpack.io/
Share some feedback on mine and I'd be happy to share feedback on yours!
I would read https://www.julian.com/guide/growth/landing-pages multiple times
Would love your feedback on https://versoly.com/96ab22c6/index and https://versoly.com/96ab22c6/for/developers (not all buttons work).
Thanks for the feedback! Super helpful.
Your sites are awesome, there is one piece of constructive feedback on both of those which is that there is a lot going on in the screen shots. When I first look at the screen shot its hard to tell whats going on and its a little overwhelming. Feels like I am going to need to learn a complex tool before being able to deploy, which isn't something I want to think about before purchasing.
I will say though I could definitely see myself using this in the future, it looks pretty awesome especially around performance!
Thanks screenshots are hard.
Will see what I can do to simplify them.
Hi Daniel👋. Lots of great feedback here already! To answer your questions quickly:
Here are a few ideas about how to change the page:
I hope this helped! I’d love to get your feedback on my website as well: https://www.glance.fyi/
Any feedback is welcome, but here are a few things I’m curious about:
Hey! Thanks much for the in depth feedback. I will try to provide the same when looking at your landing page :)
To answer your immediate questions -
How would you describe this website to a friend? Friendly, straight to the point, good for someone who needs a website
Would you use something like this? Why or why not? Yes, if I was in the market for templates I would use
What would you change to make it work better for you? I want a little bit more of a description before I dive into the different templates. Is this a site where I can download these as templates and use them on my own website? or is this just strictly inspiration for my homepage?
Overall, the graphics that were used on the homepage were very eye-catching, and I like that you were able to hover over the templates and the graphics moved.
I would play with the actual layout of the page, maybe move up the different templates to right under the "surround yourself with great ideas" section? It does not seem necessary yet for the user to choose whether they would like to search by landing page or pricing.
Thanks again for your help!
Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it!
Overall branding looks clean!
My feedback or at least what I'll do if it's me.
Headline:
All your CTA buttons (including the one at the Community Membership & Intensive Plan):
The second section of the page (Go further together, etc.):
Success Stories:
And your 'Member Resources' and 'Hiring Managers' page doesn't exist.
---
I would also try the following to increase leads to convert them through the funnel later on.
1- I noticed that you have a Discord channel and Newsletter Sign Up, so I would create another 'FREE' offer next to the Community Membership and Intensive Plan to make it more obvious. Assuming the Discord channel is free to join.
2- I would also reduce the different CTA on the page so that all the CTA will be focused on leading them to your offer. Meet the Founder and How We Work, I would probably just have the information on the page instead of leading people to other pages.
*This will be more on a landing page approach than a website. So maybe not something that you want.
3- I would move the success stories to the second and third sections. I would care more about the outcome/results or at least what's in it for me before I want to learn about the 'How'.
---
You have quite a number of members in your discord already, great job!
Hey! Thank you so much for the feedback, this was super detailed and I appreciate it. Feel free to send over your website if you wanted some feedback on your end as well. :)
