Hiring engineers is a time-consuming and costly process. On average, it takes about 40 days to hire an engineer and 38 hours to review resumes, prepare for assessments, and interview the candidates. After hiring the engineer, there’s a good 3 weeks of ramp up where the engineer is not contributing directly to the code base.

So we don’t come in for projects, rather we take tickets for bug fixes, building UI and API endpoints, writing tests and more, freeing our customer’s core engineers to build the features directly impacting the business goals.

Therefore our engineers can easily jump on different customers’ codebases with little to no ramp up time, as long as they can run the code locally. We’re codebase-agnostic and ticket-specific. Each ticket is strictly owned by one engineer but any engineer can work on any codebase.

A lot of the efficiency of Ifdev reflects on our price structure as well. Our plans starts at $4k/mo. We’re able to offer such price because we distribute tickets across engineers, we don't do meetings internally or with customers, and our ticket-based model allows engineers to work on multiple codebases at once.
