I built Shopie out of a very personal need. For years, my wife had been asking me to create an app where she could save products and get notified when prices dropped or items came back in stock. I always thought it was a great idea—but it wasn’t until I needed to replace my ski goggles that I truly felt the pain myself. I wasn’t going skiing until the following year, so there was no rush to buy them at full price. I just wanted to save the exact pair I liked and wait for the best deal. That moment made it click: we needed a simple way to save things now and buy them smarter later.

The app lets you save products you’re interested in, organize them into wishlists, and get notified when prices drop or items come back in stock.

Also worth noting is that there are no accounts, no tracking, and all data stays on your device (or in iCloud if you enable sync). The app uses iOS background tasks to check prices directly with the store.
