Hey Indie Hackers,
I'm a solo dev from Australia, grinding side projects that actually help without the usual enterprise plug or paywalls.

Most SEO tools in 2026 still feel stuck in 2018: slow crawls, legacy interfaces, heavy JavaScript bundles, expensive subscriptions or zero focus on modern user experience signals that Google and search engines actually rank. I got tired of the same old metrics just to see obvious fixes, so I built Traffic Torch - a completely free, instant, browser-based SEO + UX health checker designed for wed devs, small business and indie sites like ours.
Core philosophy: educate everything with what, how and why so everyone can understand it. Every tool teaches why an issue matters and how to solve it, many with plugin solutions. So no cryptic scores without explanation.
I woke up multiple times last night, dreaming about developing a Product SEO tool for eCommerce pages, so that's coming next. But for now here is the current run down of tools, I've built so far. Any tool suggestions in the comments will be appreciated.

Congrats on the launch, looks solid. What channels are you experimenting with to get early users?
Thanks Ajayi, I reached out to a few plugin developers that are listed in the plugin solutions sections for failed metrics in the tool results. And posted in a few fb groubs, sub-reddits and Linkedin only to find that in 2026 organic reach is fully locked down for promo or posting links. Can you recommend a better path?
You’re not wrong, organic reach for direct promotional links is significantly restricted on most platforms now. What has changed is not that distribution is nonexistent, but that link-first promotion is no longer effective.
What I have consistently seen work is a shift from promotion to problem-led visibility. This involves starting discussions about specific workflows, failures, or edge cases (without including links) and allowing recommendations to occur naturally through comments, direct messages, or third-party mentions. Platforms like Reddit and niche forums still function well when approached in this manner.
If you’d like, I can outline a simple, low-effort strategy tailored to your product that emphasizes conversations and engagement rather than posting links. Would that be helpful?
