Launched ByteAI 🚀 — a noise-free, tech-only social platform

Hey IH! Just shipped ByteAI — a noise-free, tech-only social platform for tech enthusiasts. Think Inshorts but for tech, with AI summaries and semantic search.

Built solo over the past few months. Open to feedback, criticism, anything.

⚙️ The stack:

• Web: Next.js 16 + React 19 + Tailwind v4

• iOS: Swift (native)

• Backend: .NET 8 monolith (vertical slices, MediatR for in-process events)

• Auth + DB: Supabase (Postgres + pgvector)

• AI: ONNX embeddings (local, in-process) + Google Gemini for summaries

• Hosting: Azure (Container Apps + Static Web Apps)

💡 Why I built it:

Got tired of switching between HN, X, Reddit, and 5 other tabs every morning to keep up with tech. Wanted something focused — like Inshorts, but only tech, with better summarization.

🤔 What I'm trying to figure out:

• Pricing model (currently free, no clear monetization yet)

• How to grow without spending on ads
