Launched my AI pre-production tool for YouTubers need help understanding first user behavior

Hey IH community 👋

Last week I shared that I was building an AI-powered pre-production tool for YouTubers. Since then, I quietly launched the beta, and a couple of early users have already logged in.

The tool helps creators go from:
Idea → Research → Script → Storyboard
in one smooth workflow.

Now that the beta is live, I’m trying to understand early user behavior better.

Here’s what I’m seeing so far:
• Users sign up and log in
• But many don’t immediately create a project
• I’m not seeing activity like research or script generation yet
• Some users browse around for a few minutes and leave

Before I start building more onboarding or adding new features, I want to understand the psychology behind this.

If you create videos or use creative tools:
• What stops you from starting a new project inside a tool the first time you log in?
• Do you prefer templates? Guided flows?
• Should the app automatically create a sample project after signup?
• Does a blank dashboard create confusion?
• What is the fastest way to get someone to create their first project?

If you want to explore the beta, here’s the link:

I’m not trying to sell anything just genuinely trying to learn how to improve the experience for early users.

Any feedback (even brutally honest) would help a lot 🙏
Thanks IH!
