Launched my first Book! 🎉
My book, How to get your first SAAS customer is now out 😁
After almost two months of planning, deciding not to do it, re-considering, and finally taking the plunge I have written my first mini book!!
I interviewed over 20 founders / makers and we talked about how they got their start. I met 20 amazing founder who tell their story, talk about how they got their first SAAS customers, and advice for other founders.

Congrats on the launch, I know it's so hard to put these things together.
Though I made a promise to myself to be brave and call certain things out. Nothing personal, but there is no way I will buy that book if it only has interviews with men. These are my personal guidelines in today's world, I know many other people and women who are the same.
I also believe that everyone on the interview list should also be asking the question on whether they will be featured in an all male list. The efforts towards diversity should come from all angles. 😬
Rosie, I couldn't agree more and have to be honest, I'm a bit embarrassed by it. Having all male founders was never my intention or the result of biased selection.
I reached out to over 50+ founders/makers, many of which were female. I had only two interviews booked with some awesome female founders, both of which cancelled the interviews the day of.
About halfway through my interviewing process, I realized that it was still mostly male founders. I reached out to the author of a women-founder community, who had roughly 600 members and asked if she could help me out. She suggested I pay for an advertisement. Not being able to afford paid promotion for my book, I reached out directly to some of the members to no avail.
The book is launched, but I'm actually still actively looking to interview some women founders and add them to the book (Including Jen @lunchbag from indie hackers). If you have any recommendations or know any female founders who'd be willing to do an interview I'd be happy to talk to them.
This is also an open invitation to anyone else who is, knows, or can recommend any other female founders. (OR communities of female founders that I could reach out to)
The awesome thing about the format of my book is I have the ability to update it and publish the changes (even to people who have already bought the book).

I'm also aware how much harder it is to engage and get women to contribute. It's a constant battle as often we have more on our plates, or find it harder to justify the time when we may have other day to day commitments.

Also happy to participate. Got my first POW! customers in March and if I go down memory lane I can maybe recall how I got the first ones to a long abandoned SaaS.
Personally I have found it "easy" to get the first ones, but scaling it up on the other hand...
