Launched Skedoff on Google Play: an offline-first content planner for manual creators
I just launched Skedoff on Google Play — an offline-first, privacy-first content planner for people who want to draft social posts without cloud sync, accounts, or subscriptions.
Most social media tools assume the same workflow:
- create an account
- connect your platforms
- trust a third party with your drafts
- automate everything
- pay monthly
I wanted the opposite.
So I built Skedoff: a small Android app for people who prefer to plan content offline and post manually when they’re ready.
Core idea:
- Draft → Queue → Published
- no auto-posting
- no cloud dependency
- no social account connection
- no analytics or tracking
- your drafts stay on your device
It started as “maybe I’m making a lightweight scheduler.”
But while building it, I realized it was becoming something else:
not a posting pipeline — a private workspace before publishing.
That shift changed the whole product.
Why I think this matters
A lot of creators and solo builders don’t actually want more automation.
They want:
- a calmer writing space
- more ownership over unfinished drafts
- less pressure to publish immediately
- fewer SaaS tools trying to become their entire workflow
So instead of building another scheduler, I leaned into the opposite.
