Learn to write blogposts

Hello everyone,

I have come to the conclusion that I want to start sharing content to the world. So I'm trying to get into the habit of writing blogposts. However I find this kind of hard.
I have a topic for a blogpost but when I started writing , after 2 paragraphs wrote everything I had to say about the subject. And when I looked back at the paragraphs I thought to myself: this could also have been a tweet where I cover everything in one line.
So, that said, I'm looking for your advice on how to write good blogposts.

Thanks.

@rosiesherry thanks for sharing that valuable article. It has got a lot of information and a great process of creating really good and in depth articles. I don't know If I would adopt the whole process because the writing is not going to be a main focus but merely a way to connect to people out there.
@stephsmith Thanks so much for this great article. You're a great writer!

Thanks for sharing @rosiesherry! @sandersjj, I hope the article is useful for you. I'm not a natural writer, but I've benefited greatly from splitting my process into multiple steps. It lowers the barrier and I continuously iterate towards a finished piece for weeks or months.

More detailed info in the article. :)

The fact that you are able to condense an entire topic in a couple of paragraphs is actually good.

Sure, you aren't going to rank in google, but I feel like people are becoming more and more annoyed by these never endibmng articles that are written for SEO and could be summarized in 500 words.

Maybe it is better for you to understand where you can attract users with your style of writing, instead of diluting the value you provide just to please google.

Hi I currently write for thegoodstartup.com and also definitely am working on improving my writing! For me though it's the opposite issue where I feel like I'm too wordy and lose my concentration a lot haha. What's your website? Would love to check it out!

I really like what you're doing here, just subscribed! :) I also used to have a section on sustainability on my blog, sadly I don't talk about it too much anymore 😢- it's great to see you addressing important issues!

Hi @foreverhannahle thanks for your reaction. I don't have a site yet I am planning to first have a few articles before thinking about where I should put them.

Hey! I've actually started to bring back my personal blog, so I'm happy to see a fellow blogger :) My best advice would be to take time with your writing, don't cram it all in one day (this stressed me out so bad haha). I write mine over the week - constantly editing and proofreading, and trying to cut down all the gibberish. It also makes the whole process enjoyable. And I agree with @Luqa here, people are getting tired of really long articles.
