Learning to code with a teacher...

Hey all,

I've dreamt up a project that gives me a great opportunity to work with React... particularly the inns and outs of Gatsby.

I've been designing and building with HTML, CSS and scrapping around with Javascript for over 10 years, but have never built enough of an understanding of actual development. I'd love to learn in 2021.

Having spent a few weeks worth of evenings following various tutorials, I don't think I'll ever get to understand it enough on my own... and it seems to me that the best way to learn something... is to do it.

So why not start learning through my own project, and get a teacher.

Does this exist?

I was wondering if anyone knew of any experiences that would actually help you build your own project. I.e. a tutor that understand what you're trying to build, and works with you and your project for 1 hour every week?

• Ad-hoc homework if it makes sense.
• Set goals for the week ahead and good resources to look into.
• 1 hour video call each week.
• Holds you accountable for progress.

Would be curious to know what you all think, and how you all learnt your skills.
