Leveraging FB groups to do market research, build visibility, and gain first paying users.
I'm pretty sure we killed like 3 or 4 birds with 1 stone using facebook groups. Here's more or less an outline of what worked for us!

Create a FB page. Here's ours.

Join FB groups that at least tangentially relate to the problem you are trying to solve. I joined groups related to diet, nutrition, biohacking, diabetes, hacking CGMS, etc.

Research the latest news around the problem you are trying to solve. I regularly scour through google news, different medical literature, podcasts, and other FB pages for interesting content. If you live and breath the problem you are focused on this should be easy. :D

Post interesting, thoughtful, and unique findings to your FB page. Here's a sample on our page.

Share posts from your FB page to the FB groups that you joined. DON'T SPAM. Start meaningful conversations around your findings. Hint: Your focus should be on LEARNING and UNDERSTANDING. Not to promote anything.

Create your own FB group specifically around the problem you are trying to solve. Here's the FB group we created.

If you have even a smidgen of product market fit...people WILL find their way to your FB group. Better yet, people will start their own discussions around the problem you are trying to solve (which btw omg they are also experiencing!)

Launch to your own private little FB group. These people are already indoctrinated to the problem you are trying to solve. They are familiar with the content you have pushed out and they should have a sense of who you are. If your product creates value they will be extremely inclined to give it a shot! We launched our "product" only to our FB page and our FB group. Our page at the time had about 60 likes and our FB group had a similar number of members. We managed to get our first two paying users this way!
Granted this may not be as high yield for all business opportunities, but in the beginning, when you have no idea what you are doing :D, we found this to be a great first step!

Posting just on our FB page gives us visibility to around 70-80% of our page likers/followers. But by simply sharing the post from our FB page to relevant FB groups we can easily get over 5k views.
