Live stream developing my business?
So I’ve been thinking long and hard on how to grow as a person at the same time as creating my new business, etc.
One thought that came to mind was live streaming myself working on this side project as I build it out and eventually prepare for launch.
With a live chat so we can all just have a back and forth with each other whilst that’s happening to kind of keep each other company. I’ve been watching a few design live streams the past few nights whilst working and it’s been amazing the positive effect seeing and interacting with other people working on side projects.
Is this something any of you would be interested in?
I think people call this #buildinpublic - which is amazing :)
I wonder which tool would you choose to stream it, maybe a tool on Virtual Mojito?
I was thinking of just using twitch then also streaming to YouTube too. Makes it easy known platforms that already have a lot of chat functionality to make this reciprocal for people joining.
Record the journey, just not live. Make daily/weekly 5 to 15 minute videos on your key inputs, outputs, learnings, mistakes of the day/week.
I'd watch this stuff! Look at what Millionaire Millenial is doing with his latest "Building a SaaS" series on Youtube.
Thanks will check him out, I like the snippet idea too. I suppose reasoning for the live stream was more around seeing the process as it happens, but also the failures and bang your head moments feel better as you have people to bounce off still. This works for both sides of the feed.
Just checked out that channel. All of his subscribers are fake, similarly for his instagram, quite offputting.
I've never looked at the legitimacy of his follower counts, but his SaaS content is pretty useful, not scammy, doesn't sell a course or anything.
How did you analyze his followers?
Hi! I reckon I have seen this sort of videos on youtube lately. Honestly I usually churn quiet fast because it doesn't involve me working too. I would rather meet with small group of 10 people and work for 40 min together than the other option.
That comes with saying that we are trying to find a community to enageg on this practices in our startup. Feel free to check out this room, as we are doing 1hr of digital co-working
I suppose the problem with the normal youtube way is its not setup to be as interactive, with what I've tried on twitch with people working whilst I am it really helped just have a different perspective of someone else working on their on thing.
Live Streaming is a great way to drum up interest in your project, and your right, it helps battle loneliness.
