Looking for an opportunity to develop a technical background

Hi folks, I am looking for a chance to support a product or service I believe in. My background is in finance with experience building financial models for everything from small startups to oil and gas exploration companies.

For years I've had a latent desire to learn how to develop my own web applications. I am finally moving forward and using my spare time outside of work to learn full stack web development. One problem I am facing is that learning so much of this feels abstract without having something to work towards. The countless "Hello World" examples are just not enough for me and I am a social animal that needs to exist within a group working on a common idea/product.
I have SaaS ideas of my own that I would like to build out but doing anything alone just does not appeal to me.

What I would love to find is perhaps someone or a group working on a product or service that needs a little technical help where I can pitch in. I don't want equity or payment. I just want to contribute and learn the craft so I can eventually move on to build my own.

Currently, I am focusing my learning efforts on Angular/JavaScript/Typescript/SQLite with the use of Udemy/Free Code Camp/Repl.it/Github/etc.
