Hey everyone -
I run an edtech startup, Outscal (www.outscal.com) We help college students learn game development and become professional developers by getting jobs in the industry.
I have been in the game industry for 8+ years (EA, DeNA, Kixeye, Junglee Games, full details on the Linkedin profile here - https://www.linkedin.com/in/mayankgrover/) Our mission is to solve the talent shortage in the game industry. We have been building our venture for the past couple of years and our graduates are already working with top-tier studios in India and now we are expanding to the US market, taking in students from the US, helping them upskill with mentors from the US game industry and getting jobs locally.
We have been bootstrapped but that is changing and will be announced soon ;) I come from a product/dev/design background and looking for folks excited about the problem space we are in bringing in knowledge of marketing, sales, and partnerships in the US ecosystem. I am open to a co-founder role as well if our conversations go well but most likely it will start off with a more specific role and mature into a co-founder. We have a 6 member full-time team and about 12-15 part-time mentors/teaching assistants on the platform.
Our developer community is on Discord and open to anyone to join - http://bit.ly/outscal-discord
Let me know if anyone can help.
Finding the right growth, marketing, or sales partner can make a major difference in an EdTech startup, especially when moving from product development to customer acquisition. Beyond skills, alignment on goals, commitment, and working style are critical for a strong partnership. Curious which role is the biggest priority right now?
