I'm creating a database on Notion for "the best first lines." From novels, non-fiction, ancient texts, speeches et. al.
Sentences that grab your attention and give you no choice but to read more.
Why? Part of indie hacking is communicating and capturing your audience so you can share your creation.

One of my all time favorites is from Gabriel García Márquez in 100 Years of Solitude.
“Many years later, as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendía was to remember that distant afternoon when his father took him to discover ice.”
That line has captured millions of readers around the world in a few short seconds and pushed them spend hours to read the following hundreds of pages.
