Making it personal?

Hey community, I'm currently building my product and sharing steps along the way on Twitter.

As the product is still in development I feel like making the product itself friendlier and more personal will give me better feedback and a more personal connection to the earlier users.

What do you think about making it clear that it's just one IndieHacker behind the product vs keeping it professional (using "we" instead of "the team")?

    Hey Philipp 👋

I was wondering the same lately and I decided I’d go personal as it’s obvious to me I don’t wanna build a company in the traditional sense of the term.
I also feel its easier to connect with people if they don’t feel you’re forcing them with the business talks, which I find a trap very easy to fall in if you keep things professional 😅

    Best luck!

Hey Axel, thanks for your reply!

I feel the same way and I believe that keeping it personal also helps to make people more understanding in case something is broken as they know it's just another person working on it and not a big team.
