Monetization for validated feature ideas, boosting your customers' efficiency for your product?

Hey everyone,
I'm a freelance designer working with some SaaS products myself quite extensively.
During one of my last client jobs, I was editing lots of videos and came up with a missing feature which would've increased my productivity by at least 30%. But this feature is non-existent.

🌱 What I did so far

• creating user stories & UX
• validated with some peers (and got valuable feedback!)
  I'm wondering what the next steps are for me now.

✨ My thoughts

• The feature has quite some potential in the video editing field
• But might not be big enough for a standalone product
• I lack the technical skills and time to create the product
• Some SaaS have a very solid foundation to easily implement the feature

So how would you go from here? Just contact those SaaS right away, convince them of the feature and hope to get a share of their profits (if there are any)?
