Monetization methods in a platform business

Hello everyone,
I am interested to work on a few platform-based ideas that I have, so in simple words, connecting someone with others, like LuchClub, but I am not sure how can I implement a monetization method early on so that it may not be difficult to scale or maintain the platform and I can get some validation whether it is working or not.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)
