Monetizing my first product with affiliate links

Hey everybody!

I've been a longtime lurker of indie hackers and wanted to share that at the beginning of this new year I've successfully launched my first product and even earned a small bit of revenue immediately.

I've had a long history of starting and never finishing projects, so I was really happy that I actually published something. So I wanted to share my project with this community to hopefully inspire others and also get some feedback.

My project isn't anything super sophisticated. I put together an archive site of deck lists from the Pokémon Trading Card Game that populates a shopping cart with the exact cards if visitors want to purchase the deck to play. If somebody purchases a deck I get a small commission.

For context, I'm a huge fan of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and even play some competitively. Which is how I came up with this idea. Anyhow, please let me know what you think! I know it's pretty basic, but I'm not a programmer by trade and wanted to do something fun.

Wow, good on you for publishing! Have you had any sales yet? How have you been marketing it?

My biggest feedback is I wish there were a title and a large photo on the home page to teach me what I'm looking at before reading your post!

Thank you! Yeah i've actually had a few purchases from visitors on the site.

Thanks for the feedback as well. This is the second time somebody has mentioned that, so I'll definitely add it to my list of improvements.

So far I've just posted it to facebook groups dedicated to pokemon tcg and ran a promoted instagram post.

Planning to try to get some influencers to sponsor it that have a large audience, but that hasn't happened yet.
