MVP launch questions | Advice needed ASAP

Hello fellows, some serious advice is needed.

We are in the early stage of building. Already conducted market research and responses are positive however it is challenging to understand if people will actually pay for the product. The product shall simplify business for the e-commerce owners (product card generation and import).

We are building MVP at the moment but if we will want to include all the payment systems, registration, billing and etc. that would require at least one additional month. We want to launch quickly and see customer feedback.

Can someone recommend, what are the ways to test if users are going to pay without making a full system?

Or can someone recommend the fastest way to set up payments, registration and etc?

Another question, maybe someone knows where such a product could be promoted (among eCommerce professionals). I am getting banned from all Facebook groups and Subreddits for promotional content..

P.S. I am not a software developer so something that requires minimal coding, please.

Thank you a lot!

From my experience, it is quite difficult to capture sales at this stage. You should figure out if your users really have an interest in your product and gather enough data to be confident with moving forward. To have somebody pay for your product, the problem would have to be very burning, so they are willing to pay money right away to solve it.

Some ideas on how to see if people are willing to pay:

    1. Create a landing page with a description of your MVP and put a special early-bird offer. Here it can be an e-mail sign-up or an actual check-out. See how many people convert. The problem with this approach, though, is that you would have to drive quite high traffic to your website to get any meaningful data. Also, it's going to be difficult to get people to sign up and 1000x more difficult to make them pay. Getting money from people takes a lot of time and effort unless you hit a gold mine.
    2. After user testing, you can ask the users if they would be willing to test your product for a month for a special discount price and see how many agree.

Setting up payment for your service shouldn't be too complicated. Many website builders already have it implemented. You can use PayPal (paypal.me) or even Typeform (they have an integration with Stripe) to receive payments and then manually send access to the tool.

When you receive feedback, ask questions like: Since we are still testing the product, we are offering you a special promotion:

    Option 1: half the price,
Option 2: the price you suggest.

If someone refuses, say that the product wasn't really for sale and that you are simply testing whether people are willing to pay. Thank them for their help and even give them a small gift as a token of appreciation.
