My 1st ever SaaS subscriber cancelled their subscription today.
It's for markfolder.com, a Twitter bookmarking SaaS). So I'm not surprised as I've not made much improvements to it (it's going through a pivot to something better).
It's a bitter-sweet experience. I wrote her a personal note, thanking her for her support during the early days. And for being customer #1.
Every maker remembers their first customer.
If you haven't already, it may be worth asking her why she left. If it's something you can address it may prevent later users from leaving as well. She may even come back after it's been addressed.
Absolutely. I always do! :)
