I guess this is more of a rant than a post but whatever, here goes.
So we've listed a SaaS on MicroAcquire.
The platform is great, their resources are top notch. Props to Andrew and the team!
The problem is that the potential buyers that we have interacted with are 90% amateur tire kickers that only waste our time and don't know how to read data.
It goes like this: they ask for some irrelevant data, we spend time compiling it, send it to them, and then they don't answer. Or answer with some stupid made up reason for why our SaaS is not worth what we ask.
And before you say they're right, we checked with multiple brokers, and founders that exited before and the valuation / asking price is ok.
I think they should add a vetting process for potential buyers because last I checked everyone can sign up and message any listed product.
Thoughts?
Depending on how much revenue your SaaS makes, maybe check out BitsForDigits.com (disclaimer: I co-founded this marketplace). The idea is to focus on more sophisticated buyers like micro PEs and family offices to ensure a more professional experience.
