My first IndieProject (Memory Lane) - Need your help in Idea Validation
Journaling does wonders for Productivity. I struggle to keep up with this habit because:
- Mobile Apps are not comfortable for Writing
- I couldn't find a web based journaling app that has great user experience and interface.
- Not comfortable writing in Docs, and Notions for privacy concerns.
- Not interested in Mac OS/Windows apps.
There are ton of alternatives but as far as I know none of them ticking all of the above things for me. I want to solve this problem.

Hey i think the idea is nice, but hard to sell.
You say you have privacy concerns when using google or notion, why should anyone not be concerned for the same reason when putting his data into memorylane?
i.m.o you have the same concern and google and notion are free, so i think i wouldn't pay for your service.

I see. I have to tell you regarding the encryption and security part google and their tech is probably superior to anything that you or i can create.
They not only use state of the art and very secure tech but also have the know how and organisation to fullfil that part.
They also offer 2FA of course.
I honestly don't quite get your point with that anyone can view your data that has access to your computer. How is your solution different here? If access wouldn't be possible through your computer, then you wouldn't have access either, right?
I think even if the security points were valid, security is always hard to sell, because it is considered as mandatory basic functionality, not as a feature. Like if nowadays a car manufacturer would say, we have a car that can be closed with you own keys, so no one can just sit in your car and drive away.
The UI/UX part can maybe be considered as a value prop, which i think is quite nice, but here my concern would be that ppl would be to lazy and some kind of handy UI/UX is not enough to pull users away from tools like evernote, notion and google, especially when they additionally use these tools for other things than journaling.
But maybe these are just some concerns of some random guy on the internet, as you know you just have to validate your assumptions mate.

Hi @bandiomkar123 , I'm not a target customer as I don't use these (journaling, productivity) apps. But if you would like to get more feedback on your product (as I can see you didn't get response here), you can try Userdome - a platform for acquiring and exchanging product feedbacks among founders that I currently building.
Userdome seems like a nice idea on the first sight, but they have only 6 projects listed, one of them is userdome itself.
Looks like there is not too much exposure if you list your project there.
I wouldn't count on them, at least not yet.
