My Second Attempt at Building in Public

Three years ago I announced I was going to build in public.

I even challenged myself to ship an MVP in 72 hours.

Four posts later, I disappeared.

At the time I thought I'd failed because I wasn't disciplined enough. Looking back, I think the real problem was that I confused announcing with building.

I got distracted by every new trend. I jumped from idea to idea. I spent more time thinking about what to build than actually shipping.

Now I'm trying again.

The difference this time isn't that I have more motivation. It's that my expectations are different.

I'm not trying to become a "build in public" creator.

I'm trying to become someone who ships consistently.

That's why I started writing publicly again, publishing on my own blog first, and sharing the process afterward.

Small steps. Less noise. More consistency.

Curious if anyone else here has had a "second attempt" at building in public that worked better than the first.
