A few weeks ago I started working on an internal tool to scratch an itch. We needed a way to post "What's New" announcements without having to fiddle with code or databases each time.
Since we use Notion a lot, we decided to build a simple tool that will allow anyone in the team to post announcements on our websites, all from within Notion.
A few people saw a demo and were interested in trying it out, so I turned it into a very basic SaaS. And the first basic version of my no-code announcement widget is ready!
You can now:
Create an 'app' for each website/app you want to post announcements to.
Connect a Notion database to that app. This database will contain the announcements for that app only.
Copy and paste the one-line code into your website.
Create an announcement in Notion.
See it automatically published on your website.
The video shows an example app called "Pop Invoice" and sample "What's New" announcements on the Pop Invoice website's home page.
All content managed in Notion. No code required.
P.S. I'd love to have more people test this out. If you want access to the closed Beta, let me know and I'll create an account for you.
