Need validation on a new startup idea

Hello Indie Hackers,

Recently, I was chatting with one of my clients based in the USA and suddenly he mentioned how hard it is to stay compliant and responds to tax notices. And he mentioned that large enterprises receive around 1000+ notices a month and there is no easy way to solve them. All the work is done manually from opening notice entering the data into excel/other software and tracking the progress on compliance. And the problem is that sometimes they forgot/lose the data and have to pay money.

So, I got this idea to create a web app that can take your notices by (scanning /emailing ) and store them in the system, and helps you to take appropriate steps to solve them. Also helps in filling some common forms easily.

Since I am not based in the US I don't know if this case is real or there is a need for something like this. So wanted to know if you have come across someone who has faced issues like this.
