New MVP: Get copy improvements for your website

We made a an MVP called CopyBullet: we want to help all websites improve their copy in a painless way.

We:

  • scan the top 10 pages on your site
  • analyse every single element on the page (it takes no more than a few minutes)
  • then make suggestions on how to improve the copy on your page to help you sell more, convert better and drive better SEO
  • you can then see a preview of every suggestion, get an explanation for the improvement or download the PDF.

You can see an example report here: https://copybullet.com/reports/LrJws99C
Or give it a try for free (no sign-up or email required) on your own site here: https://copybullet.com/

We'd love feedback before we develop it further to know:
(a) if it's valuable
(b) if it could be improved
(c) if there are features that would make it likely you'd pay for

Either way, any and all feedback every valuable!!

Thanks so much in advance.

I like the super easy way to try it out.

Can I suggest changing it just 1 or 2 pages in the free version? And create a premium version for the whole website.

I think it will be enough to prove if your service works and if they really love it they will come back and sign up for premium version. Most people usually have one website they'd like to fix and if they can do it without signing up.

Well done on getting to MVP!

I was chatting to someone about copywriting jobs for a friend and got told - "just use ChatGPT". What has been your experience building it and any feedback from the customers?

    Thanks.

It's very early. But our logic was simple, can we create something that's a pain to do methodically via chatgpt with a large market. We're using openai for the copy suggestions and then we do some wacky things to extract the previews. Feedback has been good/useful, but decided to push out an MVP quick to test it in-market. So we'll have to wait and see! :)

AFAIK, they do have a limitation of the size of text you can throw at the API and have to get a bit creative with it.

Yeah, but getting it out early gives you the chance to learn.

        Good luck!

Hi there! Product Designer here. Gave your MVP a test drive for my agency website. Here are my observations:

    • Love the initial opt-in, is straight to the point + the opening header instantly communicates what the user can expect.

    • I like that when you initiate the process, the user has the option to opt-in rather than making them. Not sure if this will change, but this makes the company feel more trustworthy at first glance. The fact that a user CAN opt-in or not, but still get the report makes me want to give you the email for the PRO features shown later (i.e. download the report as PDF).

    • Showing the status + what's happening creates a smooth process for the users. Again, it keeps them looped into what's happening, allowing them to trust the platform.

    • While the report is thorough, I'm not sure the layout is the best for parsing the information. The snapshots of where the text is located don't necessarily add much value. If those two columns were removed + maybe a deeper dive into the explanation OR more alternative copy options, I think that could be more valuable.

    • Feature I'd pay for - select the copy changes I want to implement + export the entire page of copy without the report/columns of information into a PDF so I can quickly rewrite the entire page. I'm not sure what the PDF looks like, but a page "script" fully ready to add to the site would be super helpful.

Just some observations + feedback. But overall, great MVP!

      Great feedback, thanks for trying!
Agree with all of that, I think mainly the visuals + explanations/alternatives, would be ideal.
We can auto push to most sites eg. Wordpress, Ghost etc. - but becomes a bit high risk if we mess it up in any way :(
But that's a great idea in terms of selecting what you want to export (right now the report just exports the same as the table) and then exporting that in an easy to copy/paste way.
      Thanks again!!

Ahhh, the auto-push risk makes sense. But yes, the option to select what you want to export could definitely be a great workaround!
