NotebookBloom: A 40% store conversion rate can still hide the real bottleneck

NotebookBloom: My store converted at 40%, but that wasn’t the number I needed to fix

Small-number build-in-public update from NotebookBloom:

Chrome Web Store:
• 191 impressions
• 82 listing visitors (42.9%)
• 33 installs (40.2% of visitors)

Website:
• 76 users
• 7 store clicks (9.2%)

I expected the store listing to be the bottleneck. It wasn’t—not yet, anyway. The weak link was getting enough high-intent people to the listing, especially from the website.

So the next experiments are:

  1. Three CTAs on high-intent posts instead of one generic CTA.
  2. Page-specific copy (“Send these flashcards to Anki,” not “Try the extension”).
  3. A 15–30 second GIF beside the CTA.
  4. Track page, CTA position and feature on every store click.

Target: lift website → store click-through from roughly 9.2% toward 15% before spending time on another store-page redesign.

The sample is too small for certainty, but large enough to choose the next test.
