NotebookBloom: My tiny site has three page-two SEO opportunities—so I stopped chasing new keywords
First useful GSC snapshot for NotebookBloom:
559 impressions, 7 clicks, 1.25% CTR.
The interesting part was not the total. Three pages ranked around position 16–17:
• Zotero export: 130 impressions / 5 clicks
• Cross-notebook search: 82 / 0
• Anki export: 62 / 0
Those are high-intent jobs the product actually solves. So instead of writing five new generic AI posts, I spent the week finishing these pages: clearer titles, direct answers above the fold, real GIFs, stronger internal links, page-specific CTAs, clean canonicals and structured data.
My next experiment is boring but measurable: leave the core pages stable, request indexing, then compare their impressions, CTR and average position over the next 28 days.
Page two is frustrating, but it is also evidence that Google already understands the topic. For a tiny site, moving an existing position-16 page may be a better bet than creating another page from zero.

It sounds like you've really dived deep into optimizing your content! From my own experience, refining titles and structuring your information effectively can make a significant difference in engagement. When I focused on clearer, keyword-rich titles for my content, I saw a noticeable increase in click-through rates—sometimes up to 30% more traffic depending on the niche.
You mentioned direct answers above the fold, which is essential. In my last project, I tested various layouts and found that immediately answering user intent in the first paragraph kept bounce rates lower. For one of my blog posts, structuring it this way improved the time on page by about 50%.
Real GIFs can enhance the user experience significantly adding visual context makes the content more relatable. Just keep an eye on loading times; I've learned that optimizing images and GIFs can maintain performance while enhancing the experience.
Have you considered A/B testing different versions of your titles and structures? It could provide some concrete data on what works best for your audience. I found it invaluable to benchmark performance through analytics tracking which variations drive the most impressions and engagement really helped refine my strategy.
Keep pushing forward! It's all about iterating and finding out what resonates most with your audience.
