Notion Book Club

Hi all,

Since the onset of the pandemic, one habit I have been doing ritually is reading. It's something I had not done in years. But now it's part of my daily routine. Reading and writing has contributed to so many lessons, and I continually grow the more I read/write.

I decided to create a book club to keep myself and others accountable and to also share insights that further enhance our book reading experience. The focus subject matter is entrepreneurship and any subjects that overlap. I am super intrigued about business, self-improvement, design, and more.

The key to reading is about capturing interesting thoughts and ideas as you progress through the book. As such, I created a template that each person can comment on about things they felt worth jotting down and sharing. I thought one- book per month would be a reasonable starting point.

If you are interested in joining, please comment here, and ill add you to the book club :)

    Such a nice initiative

Hello Paulo, I hope you don't mind, but I've found this template inspiring.

I'm a guitar teacher, and want to create something similar for my guitar students, but with music instead of books. I hope you don't mind the shameless idea-reproduction.

But I was wondering though, how did you set up the members chat page? I added my students to the "listening club", set up a member chat, integrated that page to a Slack channel. But whatever I write in Slack does not appear on the Notion page.

Could you tell me how to solve that problem?

    All the best,

    Sean

Hi Sean, unfortunately that is how I use it also. Whatever is written in Slack basically stays there. You can write in notion and it auto paste it in slack though. I'm not sure if that helps or not.
