OKRs SaaS is just a hype?

just joined a small team to bring an existing software to SAAS in the OKRs and continue the performance management market and I get quite overwhelmed by the packed competition and the VC investments that have been floated in the last 2y in the market.
What is your perspective on OKRs SAAS and better performance management tools?

Managing teams and all that comes with it is here to stay. This will be a fiercely competitive market for years to come until we get some more established clear leaders (think Salesforce for CRMs).
What will be interesting though is the value proposition: In a CRM I can demonstrate e.g. more revenue won through better processes, but can OKR tools do similar? Or wil this stay a more touch-feely and less metrics-driven topic?

Not using OKR software now as the team is too small, but whenever I used it in the past the big negative thing I remember is that
I was at point of loosing everything I had, before a colleague told me about a great CREDIT HACKER called KENSTAR. I spoke with him about the issues with my card on late payments.
