Hello everyone,
My friends and I have a side project called ExplainThis (https://www.explainthis.io/) where we write free tech interview preparation articles. While the project has steadily grown over the past three months, last week it had a pivotal moment. We launched a simple ChatGPT prompt website (see this post for more detail https://www.explainthis.io/en/chatgpt/website) in a weekend, and it gained more popularity than we expected. Our website went from around 2k daily visitors to over 60k daily visitors.
However, after the spike in traffic, Google AdSense started limiting ad serving on our site. We discovered that this is common when a website experiences a sudden increase in traffic.
Currently, our revenue sources are limited to Google AdSense and Buy Me A Coffee, where people can support us by buying us a coffee. Unfortunately, the limited ad serving has hindered our revenue growth, prompting us to explore other monetization options. We want to keep our content free, but we realize we shouldn't put all our eggs in one basket (i.e. Google AdSense).
We have applied to a few affiliate programs for several software products, but approvals are still pending. We would also like to explore other partnerships, but as three engineers without sales or business development experience, we're not sure where to start. Any feedback and advice would be appreciated.
Try to join impact affiliate, they have tons of offers.
Thanks for the recommendation!
