We've just launched the beta program for our startup PostNitro, an AI-powered carousel Creator.
PostNitro makes it easy for anyone to create stunning, on-brand carousel posts for social media in just minutes with the power of AI.
We are two founders, and the project is wholly bootstrapped π
The usual concept is that the running cost of a project is always super high, which is a primary pain point (especially when there are no users to bear the cost) and eventually leads to it getting shut down.
We chose our tech stack to keep the costs as low as possible so that we can market-test the idea and get the desired results.
So, the following is our tech stack for PostNitro:
At the moment, we are paying for:
All in all, the total cost is $229/month. Since we are in beta and allowing all users to generate free content with unlimited carousel posts, we bear this cost and get feedback from our users in exchange, which helps us improve our platform.
We are super happy with our serverless tech stack. All the tools mentioned above are excellent and work super harmoniously together.
A big shout-out to all of them for helping us develop and scale PostNitro.
Other tools we've used to complement our platform:
Great stack, have you checked Drizzle ORM compared to Prisma? Heard its latency is much better compared to Prisma.
We've already experienced Prisma in other tools and didn't want to experiment with other ORMs .. basically, the thought process was to build fast and release.
Thank you so much for the insight though, I'll check it out! :D
One of the first aspects that caught my attention was the product's design and build quality. The PostNitro boasts an elegant and ergonomic design that not only looks appealing but also feels comfortable in the hand. The choice of materials and craftsmanship reflects a commitment to durability and user satisfaction.
Thank you so much for your kind words.
This is something that we have been aiming for .. to provide an elegant and easy-to-use platform.
WOW!! What a time saver!!
Thank you! :D
The 20$s monthly of vercel can be considerably decreased if one can handle the headache of dockerized server management in AWS. On demand EC2 instances can be rented for 3.07$ per month.
This setup is a completely different ball game .. we would need to do everything independently.
Going with Vercel has saved us significant time and reduced the headache of managing everything independently, so $20 is insignificant compared to a self-hosted solution.
Great keep up the good work!
Thank you :D
Great stack...looks like NextJS is the go-to framework these days.
That is true.
The convenience is unmatched.
Great stack - curious to understand why you didn't look at Clerk as your auth solution instead of next-auth?
(disclaimer: I work for Clerk but i'm genuinely just curious to understand why)
We didn't really put too much thought into this .. in all honesty, I didn't know about Clerk before this :D
I guess we have some work to do and fix that :)
If you do get a chance to try it out in some future project, would love to hear your thoughts.
Vercel is a game changer!
What do you need zyte for?
Vercel truly is spectacular :D
Zyte for data extraction .. they are pretty good too!
Amazing AI-powered product.
Best of luck.
Thank you! :D
Thank you! :D
PostNitro, thank you for creating such an amazing AI-powered carousel maker. Best of luck with your beta program!
Thank you @arsalan11 :D
Muneeb, your tech stack for PostNitro is on fire! π₯
The choice of NextJS, TypeScript, Mantine, and Prisma is a powerhouse for your project. Next-Auth ensures secure authentication, while Vercel and Upstash provide robust hosting and data handling. Zyte and OpenAI for web data and AI are impressive additions.
Your willingness to bear costs during the beta in exchange for user feedback is a brilliant strategy, fostering user loyalty and product improvement.
With tools like UserMaven for analytics, ContentStudio for social media publishing, and Frill for user feedback, it's clear you're building a well-rounded, user-centric product.
Keep up the excellent work, and I'm eager to see PostNitro soar to new heights! ππ
Yes, you are on point with our thought process behind choosing this tech stack!
Really appreciate your kind words.. thank you!
Seems like a great product!
Good Work!!
Thank you @Syedali
Really excited to try this! _
Really happy to have you onboard :D
Overall PostNitro seems like a solid choice for easily creating carousels without engineering resources. The variety of templates and automation features allow creating sophisticated carousels for non-technical users.
For advanced interactive carousels, it likely won't match building fully custom in code. But it provides a no-code way to build good quality, data-driven carousels. Could be a good fit for marketing teams looking to create engaging content.
No-code tools are 100x easier to use and are go-to for everyone .. even devs :D
I really hope you like our tool and consider it your platform for carousel post creation ;)
Awesome product!!!
Thank you @zujaja :D
