Palette Vault

Hi everyone,

I built this because I kept doing the same loop: find a color, hunt for three that work with it, make a darker one for text, then find out the pair fails a contrast check. Four separate tools, four tabs, every time.

Palette Vault puts that loop in one place. Browse palettes, open any color for its full family and contrast figures, or use the tools to build, extract and check.

The part I care most about: everything is built in OKLCH rather than HSL. In HSL a yellow and a blue can claim the same lightness while one glares and the other reads as nearly black — so any scale built on it comes out uneven no matter how carefully you choose the numbers. Working in a space that matches perception fixes that at the root.

It is all static and client-side. No account, no analytics, no cookies, and images you drop into the tools never leave your browser. Free for commercial use.
