- Dependency-free - the fewer the better
- An abstraction
- Minimal
- Precise - narrow enough target usage to be intuitive
- Consistent
- An encapsulation - complexity hidden
- Demarcated - separation of general and specific usage
- Maintainable
- Scalable
- Reliable
- Timeless
