Hey.
I've been on a trek to find startup "Saas" companies to discuss customer acquisition strategies. Just a few minor problems.
Where/How do you find the operations?
I've thought different search terms -- not really successful - could
spend days doing this
product hunt -- a little better.. but not much
And then I realized -- even if you find a few/many, it appears
sites/operations only have contact forms!! wtf!
(if you want to discuss something -- deal/services/buyout/partnership
how can you expect to do this!!)
Looking over/through Affiliate Network Operations -- the ones
that match Publisher/Affiliate with the hope that there
will be an affiliate directory (thought process.. a lot of Saas have
affiliate programs!)
-still not successful
so, any ideas/thoughts on how to find these guys!!
thanks
what is your purpose of connecting with the SaaS companies? can you elaborate a bit on that? i think i can guide you in the right direction. been in SaaS for 10yrs.
Hi.
Thanks for the reply!
The purpose of connecting could be anything (within reason).
Might be:
-Someone looking to buy the company!
-Someone looking to discuss a potential Business Opportunity
-Someone looking to do an informational interview
-- person potentially looking for opportunity to work with company
-Someone looking to provide some service the company uses for a better fit!
-etc
Long ago, and for "larger" companies, you could usually derive this data from the site, or from a bit of net searching.. (Verizon not withstanding!)
For some reason, at some point, bunch of online businesses decided.. Heck, we have a default page.. we don't need to really "talk" with people that might actually want to talk to us.
Hope this helps!
