Has anyone had success with Patreon? I'd love to know how you reached your audience. I have an audience for a separate project that is doing well and want to move them from email to Patreon. Anyone had success?

I have a newsletter that is gaining daily sign ups but I am waiting to send out newsletter until I have some really good news. Unfortunately no experience with converting people from email to Patreon butI have had a little bit success with Patreon where I now have the server costs fully covered by Patreon and one-time donations from Paypal.

I have one CTA in the navigation header and another one later in a dialog. This has lead to 25+ patrons. I also make YouTube videos but from Google analytics most of the traffic comes directly from the project website. I also used to post on Reddit and Telegram groups which probably led to more users.
I don't like the cut Patreon takes + fees and the extra fees to get money from Patreon to your bank account but it's easy to setup and use. For my next project, I will probably just use Stripe directly.
