Payable short and mid-term accommodations

Hey, in the times of digital nomad travels I see a huge problem of finding payable accommodations for short and mid-term travels.

Based on different groups I can confirm it's not just me who has this issue.
I also saw facebook groups where single people rent out big houses and search for partners to join that rent for a while.

I was thinking to build a website where people can create public profiles and share their travel plans including some details to identify if their personality and plans fit to others so they can plan, rent and share accommodations easily.

How do you usually find places to stay and would you share a nice house with strangers when you have a proof that you might fit to share a house?
