Built a little tool to solve my own money problem, and just launched it: PayFlow Engine.
Most budgeting apps are month-based.
My real life isn’t.
I get paid on a schedule, bills hit on different dates, and the real question is always:
“Will I be okay before the next paycheck?”
So I built PayFlow Engine around pay windows instead of monthly categories.
It helps you:
line up income against upcoming bills
see what each paycheck must cover
spot shortfalls before they happen
It’s a desktop app, local-first, no bank connection required.
Would love feedback from anyone who budgets around paycheck timing (especially variable income folks).
What’s the biggest thing current budgeting tools get wrong for you?
