Phanta Bear (Day 629)

Graduates from my high school have a very strong sense of belonging. There are many WhatsApp groups formed by the graduates. I was a member of the crypto group of graduates from different decades. It's so popular that there are so many messages daily, I can't follow.

By coincidence, I saw the post about the Phanta Bear NFT project, created by Ezek Club in collaboration with "PHANTACi," a brand created by one of the most famous musicians in Asia--Jay Chou. He's one of my favorites, too, so I signed up to be whitelisted for the Jan 1st mint event.

There are 10,000 Phanta Bears on sale for 0.26 ETH each on New Year's Day (see the one I got from the image above). I witnessed the sale in real-time--it took over an hour before selling out. With ETH's price close to US$3,700 then, the sale generated at least over US$9.6 million in ETH!

I wish the NFT project would take off. But there are 10,000 NFTs; how much demand is needed to generate price movements? So I thought.
