I’ve been working on a project for 3 months with a target audience that primarily lives on phones, had a waitlist of 20 or so potential users and couldn’t get anyone to convert.
The problems was I was just emailing them, even offering crazy discounts and promotions, but no results.
Today I picked up the phone, called them out of the blue, closed 4 deals today and added our first $600 in MRR.
Lesson learned: Pick up the damn phone.
Great advice! I guess another lesson could be: Understand your audience. This would never work with developers for example!
You are a life saver Cody Potapoff. I was frustrated over the course of last 3 months as I was not getting any project. I called my previous clients and boom, here I am, securing a long term task on an online project of on my clients that is https://apkholder.com/
Congratulations!
I made my first sale ever was because I was assigned as the sales rep for a customer and I wanted to say hello in person.
Customers want to be touch with people who cares about them.
Well done! Traditional sales methods are indeed very effective!
That's great advice. So when you asked for waitlist sign up, you asked for their phone number, too? That's often overlooked.
I didn’t at first, luckily that target audience was real estate agents, so it’s easy to find. But now I do to save myself time.
Am I the only one who is seeing a contradiction here? They live on the phone whereas you emailed them...
You're a legend, Cody!

Correct, only makes sense in a B2B environment, and not every B2B environment.
